We have the best quality of life
Central Bedfordshire is growing and changing, and will continue to do so as we move towards 2050. Our populations are growing older, but many young families are moving into the area. Our communities are strong and happy, but some people are left behind. New residents will look to us for help in building fulfilling lives in Central Bedfordshire.
As our populations continue to increase, we need to ensure we focus on securing positive outcomes for our people of all generations. There is opportunity to set new standards for our built environment and its integration with the natural environment. Modern methods of construction could assist in increasing the pace of housing delivery, but we must work to ensure our housing delivers for local needs.
More people should be able to afford their first home here while also helping our older generations stay in more flexible forms of housing for longer. We will support our communities to feel safe, secure and be known as a place where our well-being is prioritised.
